Abstract:
Disclosed are a coordinate zirconium phosphotungstate catalyst and the use thereof in the catalytic hydrogenation of furfural, belonging to the field of heterogeneous catalysis. The zirconium phosphotungstate catalyst obtained in the present invention not only has a good catalytic effect on the conversion of furfural to furfuryl alcohol, but also requires mild reaction conditions such that a yield of furfuryl alcohol of 98.64% can be achieved after reacting at 120ºC for 1 h. The amount of the catalyst is less, and the energy consumption required in the prior art is substantially reduced. In addition, the zirconium phosphotungstate catalyst obtained in the present invention is easy to separate, has a very good stability for the catalytic hydrogenation reaction of furfural to furfuryl alcohol, and is a new, efficient and green catalyst.
