Abstract:

This copolymer latex is obtained by emulsion polymerization and the copolymer is composed of monomer components including 15 to 60 mass% of an aliphatic conjugated diene monomer, 5 to 35 mass% of an ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer, 5 to 30 mass% of a vinyl cyanide monomer, and 0 to 75 mass% of a monomer that is copolymerizable with these monomers. The ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer contains over 66 mass% of an ethylenic unsaturated monocarboxylic acid monomer, and the emulsion polymerization is carried out by injecting 80 mass% or more of the total amount of the vinyl cyanide monomer before 60% of the time between a reach time at which polymer conversion has reached 1.0% and a finish time at which injection of the total amount of the monomer components has finished.
