Abstract:
The present invention relates to a copolymer provided by copolymerizing (i) a copolymer I that contains a constituent unit derived from a hydrophilic vinyl monomer (A) and a constituent unit derived from a hydrophobic vinyl monomer (B1), (ii-1) a carboxy group-bearing vinyl monomer (C), and (ii-2) a hydrophobic vinyl monomer (B2). In measurement of particle size distribution in water, the copolymer satisfies the relationship: 0.5 ≤ (D90 - D10)/D50 ≤ 2.0, where D10 is the particle diameter at 10% in the cumulative distribution, D50 is the particle diameter at 50% in the cumulative distribution, and D90 is the particle diameter at 90% in the cumulative distribution.
