Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method in which: the amount of organic solvent removed by evaporation in an emulsification process according to the acetone method is reduced; a polyether segment is copolymerized to the molecular terminal as a method for shortening the process time; and polymer components are phase-transitioned quickly from a high-concentration polymer/organic solvent solution phase to an aqueous phase. [Solution] A polyether segment is copolymerized in the molecule of this polyurethane resin, and thus, the solution viscosity of the organic solvent solution is reduced effectively. Further, said ether segment exists at the molecular terminal, and thus, the polyurethane resin produced in the organic solvent phase during the aqueous emulsion production process is phase-transitioned smoothly from the high-concentration organic solvent solution phase to the aqueous phase. As a result, the amount of organic solvent to be removed by evaporation can be reduced, and thus, the efficiency of production can be improved as a result of reduction in process time, and environmental loads can be reduced as a result of reduction in the amount of organic solvent waste.
