Abstract:
Copolymers for cosmetics, which are obtained by polymerizing (A) 5 to 95 % by weight of a fluoro(meth)acrylate with (B) 5 to 95 % by weight of at least one fluorine-free monomer selected from the group consisting of (i) silicone macromonomers, (ii) polyalkylene glycol (meth)acrylates, (iii) alkyl (meth)acrylates and (iv) alkyl (meth)acrylate macromonomers. These copolymers can be easily incorporated into cosmetic preparations and form films excellent in water resistance, water repellency, oil repellency, feeling realized by using it and safety. These copolymers are capable of overcoming defects of powders treated with fluorine compounds.
