Abstract:
Provided are: a copper alloy wire having excellent electrical conductivity, high strength and excellent ductility; a twisted copper alloy wire provided with the copper alloy wire; an electric wire in which the copper alloy wire or the twisted copper alloy wire is used as an electrical conducting body; an electric wire having a terminal attached thereto, which is provided with the aforementioned electric wire; and a method for producing a copper alloy wire. The copper alloy wire has a chemical composition comprising 0.2 to 1% by mass inclusive of Mg and 0.02 to 0.1% by mass inclusive of P, with the remainder made up by Cu and unavoidable impurities. The copper alloy wire has electrical conductivity of 60% IACS or more, tensile strength of 400 MPa or more and breaking elongation of 5% or more.
