Abstract:
A copper-plated solid welding wire for carbon dioxide gas shielded arc welding has a lubricant oil and a solid lubricant coated on the surface thereof. Copper and iron particles deposited on the surface of the copper-plated solid welding wire have particle diameters not exceeding 20μm, and total at most 0.10g per 10kg of the copper-plated solid welding wire. The following are deposited on the surface per 10kg of the copper-plated solid welding wire: 0.4-2.0g of an animal oil, a vegetable oil, or a mineral oil as the aforementioned lubricant oil; and 0.03-0.15g of molybdenum disulfide having a particle diameter of 0.1-10μm as the aforementioned solid lubricant. The structure enables continuous welding over a long period of time with excellent wire-feeding capability.
