Abstract:
This copper porous body is composed of a sintered body of a plurality of copper fibers, and has a skeleton part that has a three-dimensional network structure. This copper porous body is characterized in that: the copper fibers constituting the skeleton part are formed from copper or an copper alloy, and have a diameter R within the range of from 0.01 mm to 1.0 mm (inclusive) and a ratio of the length L to the diameter R, namely an L/R ratio within the range of from 4 to 200 (inclusive); and the cross-sections of the copper fibers, said cross-sections being orthogonal to the length direction, have circularities within the range of from 0.2 to 0.9 (inclusive); and the porosity is within the range of from 50% to 95% (inclusive).
