Abstract:

The optical media include light sensitive compounds applied either uniformly or in discrete locations on or in an optical recording medium. A layer (400) of light sensitive material is shown in figure 4 as preventing the readout of embossed information (230, 22, 240) in the area between B and C illustrated as area (410), due to the coloration of the light sensitive material. Figure 5 shows the results of the second readout, which differes from that shown in figure 4.
