Abstract:
Provided is a cord end stopper with which a socket and a plug can be assembled easily and stably, and the assembled socket and plug can be firmly attached. A cord end stopper (9) is constituted of substantially tubular socket (10) and plug (20). The socket (10) has an opening (11) for a cord, an opening (12) for a plug, and a housing section (13) for housing the end (1A) of the cord inserted from the opening (11) while communicating the opening (11) with the opening (12). The plug (20) includes a base (21), a leg (22), and a cord lock portion (23) formed in the leg (22). The base (21) is formed in a frame shape from a first member (24), a second member (25) and a pair of side members (26), and has a space (21A) formed the inside thereof. An engagement portion (27) engaging with the inner surface of the housing section (13) is formed on the side member (26). When the engagement portion (27) receives a reaction force from the housing section (13), the side member (26) is elastically deformed toward the space (21A) side, whereby a resistance at the time of assembling operation can be reduced.
