Abstract:
A cord pellet and a method and a device for manufacturing the cord pellets. The device (100) for manufacturing the pellets not deteriorated in quality and having a large apparent specific gravity is characterized by comprising (a) a bundling part (16) forming a cord-like composite material (R') by bundling one or a plurality of band-like long continuous materials (R) and/or a plurality of yarn-like long continuous materials (R) to a small width, (b) a compression part (22) having recesses and projections on the outer peripheral surface thereof and having a pair of rollers (50a) and (50b) for compression forming a cord (S) by point-compressing a twist of paper-like cord material (R'), (c) a rotating part (14) forming the twist of paper-like cord material (R') by rotating the bundling part (16) or the compression part (22) relative to each other to twist the cord-like composite material (R'), and (d) a cutting part (102) installed on the outlet side of the compression part (22) and cutting the cord (S) formed by point-compression at specified intervals in a pellet shape.
