Abstract:
A cord for rubber reinforcement which comprises reinforcing fibers and a coating film formed on the reinforcing fibers. The coating film is a film formed by drying a coating fluid comprising a rubber latex and a vulcanization aid, at least 50 wt.% of the medium contained in the coating fluid being accounted for by water. The rubber-reinforcing cord has high adhesion to a matrix rubber comprising as the main component a blend of a hydrogenated nitrile rubber containing zinc methacrylate dispersed therein with a hydrogenated nitrile rubber. It can be easily produced.
