An iron main body comprises: a concave power-receiving section at the rear of a grip; and a power-receiving terminal within the power-receiving section. A stand (16) comprises: a placement section (17) on which the iron main body is placed at an inclination with the front thereof raised; a convex power supply section (18) at the rear of the placement section (17); and an electrode within the power supply section (18). A supporting section that projects perpendicularly rearward is formed within the power-receiving section. A slit (23) into which the supporting section fits is formed in the top face of the power supply section (18). A guidance section (18a) for guiding the supporting section is formed at the front face of the power supply section (18), and is inclined towards the slit (23). A protruding section (18b) for guiding the power-receiving section is formed at the bottom of the front face of the power supply section (18), and projects in the shape of an arc towards the power-receiving section. When the iron main body is placed on the stand (16), the power-receiving section is guided to the correct position of the power supply section (18) by means of the guidance section (18a) and the protruding section (18b), and electrical connection is reliably made between the power-receiving terminal and the electrode.
