Abstract:
Provided is a novel conjugate thread which exhibits excellent elasticity, transparency and appropriate fitting properties, and has sufficient strength and good texture. Also provided are a fabric formed from said conjugate thread, and a clothing article using said fabric. Moreover, provided is a method for producing a novel conjugate thread which exhibits excellent elasticity, transparency and appropriate fitting properties, and has sufficient strength and good texture. The core-sheath conjugate thread has a core containing a polyurethane, and a sheath containing an elastomer, wherein the polyurethane is a double prepolymer type polyurethane obtained by reacting: a prepolymer having isocyanate groups at both terminals, which is obtained by reacting a polyol and a diisocyanate; and a prepolymer having hydroxyl groups at both terminals, which is obtained by reacting a polyol, a diisocyanate, and a low molecular weight diol. The core-sheath conjugate thread is obtained by composite spinning the core and the sheath under the following conditions: the fineness being between 18 and 110dtex; the proportion of the core and the sheath by weight being between 95/5 and 60/40 (core/sheath), and the stretch ratio being between 1.5 and 4.0.
