Abstract:
Disclosed is a non-woven fabric that can be used in applications in which low gas release and low metal elution are required. Also disclosed is a core-sheath conjugated fiber composed of said non-woven fiber. The core-sheath conjugated fiber is provided with a core comprising a thermoplastic resin composition, and a sheath comprising a cyclic olefin composition composed mainly of a cyclic olefin resin (A). The thermoplastic resin composition is composed mainly of an amorphous thermoplastic resin having a glass transition (Tg) that is higher than the glass transition (TgA) of the cyclic olefin resin (A), or is composed mainly of a crystalline thermoplastic resin having a melting point (Tm) higher than the glass transition (TgA). The cyclic olefin resin is preferably used in a core composed mainly of a thermoplastic resin.
