Abstract:
A core-sheath type composite fiber which is composed of a core made of a polyamide component and a sheath made of a polyester component and which is to be used in a fibrous fabric that includes portions where the polyester component of the sheath has been removed using a fiber-degrading agent and portions where the polyester component thereof remains. The core-sheath type composite fiber can provide a fibrous fabric which exhibits excellent sharpness in the boundaries between portions where the polyester component of the sheath has been removed using a fiber-degrading agent and portions where the polyester component of the sheath remains and which is favorable for imparting designs or partial functions such as stretchability.
