Abstract:
Provided are a core-spun yarn, a jean fabric and spinning and weaving methods. The core-spun yarn comprises 1-3 PBT filaments, and cotton fibres externally covering the PBT filaments. The method for spinning a core-spun yarn comprises the steps of: (1) pre-drafting PBT filaments; (2) subjecting cotton fibres to opening and scutching, cotton carding and drawing to form a roving, then, drafting the roving; (3) twisting and winding to form a core-spun yarn; and (4) steam twist fixing. The jean fabric has a core-spun yarn as a weft yarn and cotton fibres as a warp yarn. A method for weaving the jean fabric sequentially comprises the steps of: opening - weft insertion - beating up – and letting off. A shell fabric woven from the PBT/cotton core-spun yarn has a good elastic recovery ratio, a good wear resistance, a good strength and a good wrinkle resistance.
