A coring tool (1000), a coring method, and an application thereof. The coring tool (1000) comprises a differential device (200) arranged in a housing (100) and used for selectively transmitting a force, and a rock core catcher device (300) used for performing a core breaking operation. The rock core catcher device (300) comprises a retractable rock core catcher (350), a hoop-type rock core catcher (360) and a shielding mechanism (310). The shielding mechanism (310) can be actuated by the differential device (200), so that the hoop-type rock core catcher (360) is shielded during a coring operation and a first core breaking operation so as to avoid an accidental core breaking operation, and the hoop-type rock core catcher (360) is exposed during a second core breaking operation to complete the entire core breaking operation.
