Abstract:
A corner damper and a mounting method therefor. The corner damper comprises a regular octagonal torque transmission part, a transmission annular steel plate, a fixed annular steel plate, damping materials, a metallic housing, bearings, and a fixed support. Regular octagonal bearings are disposed on convex teeth at one side equipped with a damper, and regular octagonal holes are provided on convex teeth at the other side. Regular octagonal pin shafts are connected to the convex teeth, the damper is put into the pin shafts extending outwards, and when the convex teeth at the two sides relatively rotate, the convex teeth can drive the regular octagonal torque transmission part so as to make the damping materials clamped between the transmission annular steel plate and the fixed annular steel plate generate shearing deformation. The corner damper can be mounted at a building hinging point to perform vibration control on a building structure. Requirements for a building space are low. After mounting, the influence on the structure, normal usage function and attractiveness of a building is small. The corner damper has the advantages of high energy consumption efficiency, flexible mounting and arrangement, convenience in repair and replacement, and the like.
