Abstract:
Provided is a correction method with which it is possible to correct a relative position of a workpiece and a machining body at the time of machining with high precision, in a machine tool that comprises a movable workpiece headstock that is capable of moving in a predetermined direction. After moving the movable workpiece headstock (4) to a scheduled position for use at the time of machining, the amount of deviation of the relative position of a spindle (11) of the movable workpiece headstock (4) and a machining body holding portion (7) is calculated, the amount of deviation of the relative position of the workpiece (W) and the machining body (T) during machining of the workpiece is estimated on the basis of the calculated amount of deviation, and the feed mechanism portion is controlled so as to correct the estimated amount of deviation.
