Abstract:
This correlation value calculation device selects a pixel of interest in an image and a plurality of reference pixels in said image or in another image, and calculates correlation values between a standard block and a plurality of reference blocks, wherein the standard block includes the pixel of interest at a prescribed location, and the reference blocks each include the reference pixel at a prescribed location and have the same block size as the standard block. The correlation value calculation device is provided with: a block size determination unit; a first intermediate correlation value calculation unit which calculates the correlation values for the block sizes of the multiple kinds of blocks; a second intermediate correlation value calculation unit which calculates the correlation values for a part of the various kinds of block sizes; and a correlation value interpolation unit which obtains correlation values by interpolation.
