Abstract:
Provided are: a corrosion-resistant coating layer on a surface of a steel material such as a steel sheet; and a method of forming the corrosion-resistant coating layer.
A hot-dip metal deposit layer (11) is formed on a surface of a steel material. Subsequently, particles (14) comprising fine metal particles (14a) constituted of a metal which is the same as or different from the metal of the hot-dip metal deposit and a charged film (14b) formed on the surface of the particles (14a) are adhered to the whole molten surface of the hot-dip metal deposit layer (11) by electrostatic coating to form a metal particle layer (15). Thereafter, the metal particle layer (15) is buried, with a press, into the surface of the hot-dip metal deposit layer (11) to unite the two layers (11 and 15). Thus, on the surface of the steel sheet is formed a corrosion-resistant coating layer (7) comprising a deposit layer (15a) formed from the hot-dip metal deposit layer (11) and, united therewith, a surface metal layer (15a, 15b) formed from the metal particle layer (15). When the metal of the hot-dip metal deposit layer (11) was different from the metal of the metal particle layer (15), a corrosion-resistant coating layer (7) is formed which is composed of those two layers and, interposed therebetween and united therewith, an alloy layer (21a) constituted of the metallic elements of the two layers.
