Abstract:
Provided are corrugated fins with high heat transfer performance. Mounted either between flat tubes 1 arranged spaced apart from one another in parallel, or disposed inside of the flat tubes, these corrugated fins 10 for a heat exchanger have wall surfaces 3 of the rising portions and falling portions between the tops and valleys formed by bending the fins into a wavy shape along the longitudinal direction, and each wall surface comprises alternating parallel ridges 4 and furrows 5 inclined in the same direction with respect to the width direction of the fins. With respect to the width direction of the fins, the inclination angle of the lines along which the tops of the ridges extend and that of the lines along which the bottoms of the furrows extend are the same and are 10-60°. The ridges and the furrows are divided into a first section 15 and a second section 16 separated by a gradually changing portion 2 that extends in the width direction of the fins. The period of the ridges and furrows in the first and second sections is the same, and the phase difference between the ridges and furrows is 90-270°.
