Abstract:
Disclosed is a corrugated roll unit (1) which can be inserted into a single facer or drawn-out therefrom easily without requiring a large space on the periphery of the single facer. The corrugated roll unit (1) is constituted by mounting a pair of corrugated rolls (3, 4) fixedly on a truck (2) having running wheels (12, 14), and is attached removably to the operating portion of a single facer, wherein two back up wheels (24) are attached in the vicinity of the rear wheel (14) with the running direction thereof directed toward the lateral direction of the truck (2) such that the attaching positions can be changed above or below the rear wheel (14), the back up wheels (24) are lowered below the rear wheel (14) when the corrugated roll unit (1) is rotating or moving in the lateral direction (e) so that the corrugated roll unit (1) is made to run by means of the front wheel (12) and the back up wheels (24), the back up wheels (24) are run in the direction reverse to that of the front wheel (12) when the corrugated roll unit (1) is rotating, and the interval between the front wheel (12) and the back up wheels (24) or the running speeds thereof are regulated so that the center (c) of rotation of the corrugated roll unit (1) can be set at an arbitrary position between the front wheel (12) and the rear wheel (14).
