Title:
COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING 1,5-ISOQUINOLINEDIOL AS EFFECTIVE INGREDIENT FOR ALLEVIATING SKIN PHOTOAGING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/155932
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a cosmetic composition comprising 1,5-isoquinolinediol as an effective ingredient for alleviating skin photoaging, protecting skin against light-induced damage, alleviating wrinkles, and increasing elasticity. 1,5-Isoquinolinediol, which was first proven in the present invention for use in protection against light-induced skin aging and damage, has the effect of inhibiting reactive oxygen species generated by UV light or beta-galactosidase activity. In addition, 1.5-isoquinolinediol of the present invention can alleviate skin wrinkles and enhance skin elasticity thanks to its outstanding effect of inhibiting the activity of collagenase or elastinase, thereby finding useful applications in the related fields.
