Abstract:
The present invention provides a cosmetic composition which contains: (A) a 3-O-alkyl-L-ascorbic acid having an alkyl group with 8-12 carbon atoms, or a salt thereof; (B) a nonionic surfactant which is composed of one or more substances selected from the group consisting of polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ethers, polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid esters, polyoxyethylene alkyl ethers and polyoxyethylene alkenyl ethers, and which has an HLB value of 12.5-17; and (C) one or more oils selected from the group consisting of amino acid esters, dimer acid esters, hydroxy acid esters, alkyl glyceryl ethers and alkenyl glyceryl ethers. This cosmetic composition has excellent solubilization stability, excellent storage stability and excellent feeling of use, while being free from generation of an odor over time, which may cause a problem in use.
