WIPO Patent Application WO/2008/010628
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cosmetic container having an airtight structure that provides an improved coupling force between a rotary cover and a mirror cover so as to make the cosmetic container airtightly closed, thereby preventing cosmetic substance in the cosmetic container from being deteriorated by the exposure to the air. The cosmetic container having an airtight structure is provided wherein the rotary cover and the mirror cover are coupled with each other in such a manner as to be rotatable to left and right sides and the mirror cover is hinged to the lower body. When the rotary cover is rotated downward to close the cosmetic container(when the rotary cover abuts with the middle body), there is a predetermined gap between the rotary cover and the middle body by a space where the elastic member is disposed between the rotary cover and the mirror cover. At this time, if the rotary cover is rotated for coupling with the middle body, the mirror cover coupled at the lower side of the rotary cover is raised upward, and thereby, the rotary cover and the middle body are firmly coupled with each other. The lower periphery of the mirror cover airtightly contacts with the upper periphery of the cosmetic implement container mounted on the upper periphery of the middle body, thereby obtaining excellent airtightness performance.

[15] A preferred embodiment of the invention will be described in detail below by referring to the accompanying drawings.

[16] FlG.1 is a perspective view showing a cosmetic container having an airtight structure according to the present invention, F1G.2 is an exploded perspective view showing the cosmetic container having an airtight structure according to the present invention, F1G.3 is a schematic view showing a rotary cover coupled to the outside of a mirror cover, wherein when the cosmetic container is opened, the rotation of the rotary cover is prevented, F1G.4 is a schematic view showing the rotary cover wherein when the cosmetic container is closed, the mirror cover is pushed and inserted toward the inside of the rotary cover, such that the rotary cover is rotated, F1G.5 is one side view showing a middle body of the cosmetic container according to the present invention, F1G.6 is a sectional view showing a state before the cosmetic container of the present invention is closed, and F1G.7 is a sectional view showing a state when the cosmetic container of the present invention is closed.

[17] According to a cosmetic container having an airtight structure, as shown in FTGS.1 and 2, a mirror cover 20 is coupled by means of a first hinge 21 with the cosmetic container in such a manner as to be opened up and has a mirror 23 provided at the inner surface thereof, and a rotary cover 10 has an elastic member 14 provided at the inner surface thereof in such a manner as to be coupled with the mirror cover 20. Also, the mirror cover 20 is coupled by means of the first hinge 21 with a lower body 40 forming the lower surface of the cosmetic container, and the lower body 40 is coupled at the inside thereof with a middle body 30 having a plurality of anti-loosing means 31 provided inclinedly along the outer periphery thereof. The middle body 30 is insertedly coupled at the inside thereof with a cosmetic substance housing member 50 for housing cosmetic substance therein, and a housing container 60 is mounted along the upper periphery of the middle body 30 by means of a second hinge 62 provided at one side thereof in such a manner as to be coupled rotatably upward and downward with the middle body 30. The cosmetic substance housing member 50 is adapted to house the cosmetic substance of the cosmetic container therein, and the cosmetic implement container 60 is adapted to house a puff as a cosmetic implement.

[18] At this time, the cosmetic implement container 60 has a high-foamed packing member 61 provided along the lower periphery thereof for reinforcing airtightness performance and is coupled along the top periphery thereof with the mirror cover 20 that is opened up.

[19] On the other hand, the rotary cover 10 has a plurality of stoppers 11 radially provided on the inner circumstance thereof, a plurality of guide grooves 12 provided on the outer periphery of the inside thereof, and a cut protrusion 13 provided between the adjacent guide grooves 12.

[20] Further, the mirror cover 20 has the first hinge 21 formed at one side thereof and has a plurality of side protrusions 22 radially formed along the circumstance thereof.

[21] Thus, the mirror cover 20 is coupled with the rotary cover 10 in such a manner as to airtightly contact with the elastic member 14 of the rotary cover 10, and the side protrusions 22 of the mirror cover 20 are inserted into the guide grooves 12 of the rotary cover 10, such that they are rotated to left and right sides at a predetermined angle.

[22] At this time, the cut protrusions 13 of the rotary cover 10 are formed extended inwardly to a predetermined length, such that they serve to keep the rotary cover 10 coupled with the mirror cover 20 from being rotated in a state where the cosmetic container is opened as shown in FIG.3, and serve to rotate the rotary cover 10, if the cosmetic container is closed to push the mirror cover 20 toward the inside of the rotary cover 10 as shown in FIG.4.

[23] In other words, at the state where the cosmetic container is opened, the side protrusions 22 of the mirror cover 20 are not rotated by means of the cut protrusions 13, and if the cosmetic container is closed to push the mirror cover 20 toward the inside of the rotary cover 10, the side protrusions 22 are freely rotated along the guide grooves 12.

[24] Further, the lower body 40 is provided on the lower portion of the cosmetic container, and the middle body 30 is coupled between the lower body 40 and the mirror cover 20, which is shown in FIG.5.

[25] The middle body 30 has the plurality of anti-loosing means 31 provided radially at a predetermined inclined angle along the outer periphery of the top side portion thereof, such that the plurality of stoppers 11 of the rotary cover 10 are rotatably coupled with the plurality of anti-loosing means 31. The rotary cover 10 is rotated clockwise to a predetermined angle (desirably, to an angle of 23.5°) on the top side of the mirror cover 20, thereby completing the airtighting of the cosmetic container.

[26] On the other hand, as shown in FIG.6, before the cosmetic container of the present invention is completely closed, there is a given gap between the rotary cover 10 and the middle body 30 coupled with the mirror cover 20, but if the plurality of stoppers 11

of the rotary cover 10 are pushed downward along the inclined faces of the plurality of anti-loosing means 31 formed along the middle body 30 coupled along the lower periphery of the rotary cover 10, the lower periphery of the mirror cover 20 is compressed against the upper periphery of the cosmetic implement container 60 mounted along the upper periphery of the middle body 30 by means of the elastic force of the elastic member 14, thereby preventing air from flowing to/from the cosmetic container.

[27] According to the features of the present invention, the rotary cover 10 is coupled with the mirror cover 20 with the formation of the elastic member 14, a given gap is formed between the rotary cover 10 and the lower body 40 by means of the hinge coupling between the mirror cover 10 and the lower body 40, and the air tightness is kept by the rotary coupling of the rotary cover 10 and the compression of the elastic member 14.

[28] If the cosmetic container of the present invention is to be kept at an airtightly closed state, the rotary cover 10 is rotated clockwise to a predetermined angle, and thereby, the side protrusions of the mirror cover 10 are rotated along the guide grooves 12 of the rotary cover 10, such that the stoppers 11 of the rotary cover 10 are inserted into the anti-loosing means 31 of the middle body 30 in a manner of moving downward along the inclined faces of the anti-loosing means 31 and after that, the cosmetic implement container 60 is compressed downward to make the cosmetic substance housing member 50 airtightly closed.

[29] On the contrary, if the cosmetic container of the present invention is opened for use, the rotary cover 10 is rotated counterclockwise.

[30] At this time, the stoppers 11 of the rotary cover 10 coupled with the anti-loosing means 31 of the middle body 30 are released to make the mirror cover 20 coupled by means of the first hinge 21 opened upward, and the rotary cover 10 is kept at the coupled state with the mirror cover 20 along the outer periphery of the top side of the mirror cover 20 by means of the side protrusions 22.

[31] At this time, the elastic member 14 serves to compress the mirror cover 20 downward when the rotary cover 10 is rotated for closing the cosmetic container and serves to push the rotary cover 10 upward when the rotary cover 10 is opened, which helps the cosmetic container of the present invention closed and opened in a more smooth manner.

[32] Additionally, at a time of closing the cosmetic container of the present invention, the elastic member 14 is compressed to push the mirror cover 20 toward the inside of the rotary cover 10, such that the side protrusions 22 of the mirror cover 20 are freely rotated along the guide grooves 12 irrespective of the cut protrusions 13 of the rotary cover 10.

[33] While the present invention has been described with reference to the particular illustrative embodiments, it is not to be restricted by the embodiments but only by the appended claims. It is to be appreciated that those skilled in the art can change or modify the embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention.
