Title:
COSMETIC, PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF COMPLEX OF FULLERENE AND &gammad -CYCLODEXTRIN, SOLUTION OF COMPLEX OF FULLERENE AND &gammad -CYCLODEXTRIN AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/109774
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose is to produce a cosmetic efficiently and stably which comprises a complex of a fullerene and &gammad -cyclodextrin and which can reduce the amount of active oxygen generated by irradiation of a living body with UV ray. A fullerene and &gammad -cyclodextrin in an amount which is not less than three times the mass of the fullerene and is less than 8 times the mass of the fullerene are charged in a mortar and then milled and mixed together in the mortar. A solvent is added to the resulting solid mixture. The mixed solution is applied with ultrasonic vibration. The resulting mixed solution is filtered. The filtrate is a solution of a complex of the fullerene and &gammad -cyclodextrin. This solution shows no cytotoxicity even at a higher concentration and can scavenge active oxygen. Thus, a complex of a fullerene and &gammad -cyclodextrin or a solution of the complex is useful as a cosmetic.
