Abstract:
Disclosed is a cosmetic transparent gel preparation having high transparency and hardness, while giving good feeling of use. Also disclosed is a gelling agent which is suitable for use in the cosmetic transparent gel preparation. The cosmetic transparent gel preparation is characterized by containing an esterification reaction product obtained by reacting glycerin, a dibasic acid having 18-28 carbon atoms and a fatty acid having 8-28 carbon atoms (excluding dibasic acids), 12-hydroxystearic acid, and an oil content. The gelling agent is characterized by containing an esterification reaction product obtained by reacting glycerin, a dibasic acid having 18-28 carbon atoms and a fatty acid having 8-28 carbon atoms (excluding dibasic acids), and 12-hydroxystearic acid.
