Abstract:

It is intended to provide a cosmetic which contains spherical nonporous particles having a pore volume substantially equal to zero and has an opaquing effect. This cosmetic comprises from 0.1 to 70% by weight of the spherical nonporous particles, liquid component(s) and the balance of solid component(s) other than the spherical nonporous particles. The above-described spherical nonporous particles are made up of masses (average diameter: 1 to 100 μm) of fine inorganic oxide particles, which are composed of fine inorganic oxide particles (average particle diameter: 2 to 250 nm), and a silica-based layer coating the same.
