Abstract:

Cosmetics characterized by containing an active ingredient comprising fermented rice obtained by fermenting rice by using lactic acid bacteria; whitening and skin-care products comprising fermented rice obtained by fermenting rice by using lactic acid bacteria; and emulsifiers comprising as the main component fermented rice obtained by fermenting rice by using lactic acid bacteria substantially in the absence of sodium chloride. Thus, cosmetics which are excellent in emulsion stability and biological safety, impart a favorable feel in and after using and exhibit a total cosmetological effect of improving the skin texture, whitening and caring the skin, etc. can be obtained.
