Description:
COT GRINDING MACHINE

RELATED TECHNICAL FIELD

Present invention relates to a cot grinding (rectification) machine providing smooth cot surfaces by eliminating the mark formations on the cot surfaces used in the textile sector.

STATE OF THE ART

Marks are formed on the cots used for the thread manufacture during their operation and they are damaged. The surfaces of these rubber cots which are damaged in a period of 1 -2 months are rectified by grinding thereof.

Currently used hydraulic cot grinding machines realize the grinding process in 10-12 seconds. The grinding process lasts for at least 6-8 seconds even for the models of the hydraulic cot machines with fastest operation rates.

In the hydraulic cot grinding machines, the lubricant, temperature and similar factors may affect the operation rate and process quality of the machine. The operation rate may be determined by the initiative of the operator.

The grinding unit has to be replaced in accordance with the cot to be ground in order to grind the cot types with different lengths, e.g. drawing cot in the standard cot grinding machines presently used. Assembling and detaching of said grinding unit is too long and exhaustive process which lasts for approximately half day.

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The object of the invention to eliminate the time, labor force, and production losses arising from the replacing process of the grinding unit by means of enabling the different types of cots with different lengths to be ground without the need for replacing the grinding set. One further object of the invention is to provide a longer lifetime by extending the short maintenance intervals for the hydraulic machines and thus reducing the cost and time losses arising from said operation.

Another object of the invention is to reduce the cot grinding process time by 4 seconds by providing a faster operation compared to the hydraulic machines through the linear slides.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Cot grinding machine of the invention comprises servo motor and linear slide to enable the rotating speed to be adjusted to the desired value according to the cot type and to enable the adjusted speed to be fixed in order to carry out the grinding operation of the cots with different types and different sizes without replacing the grinding unit (2) and detaching the feeding unit (1 ).

The grinding machine is capable of operating 80% faster through its linear slide compared to the standard-hydraulic grinding machines. For example, the grinding process which takes 12 seconds may be reduced to 4 seconds. Therefore, much more cots may be ground in the same time period.

The linear slides of the grinding machine are fully digital-controlled linear slides.

Adjusting the operation rates and fixing the adjusted rate are not possible for the currently used hydraulic grinding machines. Thus, the cots with different sizes and types cannot be ground by the same grinding unit (2), if the cot type changes, e.g. drawing cots are to be used having longer sizes, then the grinding unit (2) has to be changed in accordance with the cot.

With the cot grinding machine of the invention, all cots with any size and type can be subjected to grinding without changing any component including the grinding unit (2). For example the drawing cots having a length of 40 cm may be ground as is the case with the flyer cots without changing any component and part of the machine.

With the linear slides and servo motor comprised in the grinding machine, rotating speed of the machine can be changed as required and the selected speed can be fixed. Thus, the grinding process for the cot with the desired type and size may be carried out. Moreover, ground cots are obtained without any change in the surface qualities of the products through the operation at a constant speed.

Rotating speeds of the cots may be adjusted via touch screen control panel (3) comprised by the machine. All functions of the entire machines such as the pass amount to be performed on the cot at the same time, advancing speed, center revolution, and the polishing time of the stone may be adjusted through the touch screen control panel (3).

The grinding machine of the invention has a fully automatic feeding unit (1 ). The feeding unit (1 ) is capable of feeding at least 72 cot shafts. Thus, a faster feeding is achieved in accordance with a fast operation period as short as 4 seconds.

The grinding machine of the invention also has a numerical control. Thus, the maintenance and controls thereof is performed in much longer intervals compared to the hydraulic bench arrangements.
