Abstract:
Provided are an elevator device and a counterweight for the elevator device provided with a structure for mounting a counterweight-side compensating chain capable of enhancing the degree of freedom of choosing a mounting position of the counterweight-side compensating chain while securing necessary strength. The elevator device with a compensating chain includes: a first bracket 5 which has a part having a substantially U-shaped cross-sectional shape and in which a first coupling side 5c connecting first rising sides 5a and 5b is fixed to a counterweight frame 2 such that the first rising sides 5a and 5b are perpendicular to the counterweight frame 2; and a second bracket 6 which has a part having a substantially U-shaped cross-sectional shape and in which second rising sides 6a and 6b are fixed to the first rising sides 5a and 5b of the first bracket 5 such that a second coupling side 6c connecting the second rising sides 6a and 6b is located on the lower side. An end portion of the compensating chain is supported by the second coupling side 6c of the second bracket.
