Abstract:

A coupling component (24) in a coupling arrangement (10) for temporarily connecting a towing vehicle (12) to a towed vehicle to create a vehicle train comprises: - a coupling component body (27) having a coupling member (20) provided thereon for creating a coupling connection with a coupling member of the other coupling component (14), - a connector component (32) having at least one connector formation (36) designed to form a temporary energy-transmitting and/or information-transmitting detachable plug connection with another connector component (30) of the other coupling component (14), - an alignment component (40) which is mounted on the coupling component body (27) and supports the connector component (32), the alignment component (40) being movable relative to the coupling component body (27), such that the alignment component (40) is designed to align the connector component (32) in preparation for interlocking engagement with another alignment component (38) of the other coupling component (14) to form a plug connection. According to the invention the connector component (32) can be moved relative to the alignment component (40) and/or relative to the coupling component body (27) between a stowage position, in which its at least one connector formation (36) is inaccessible so as to prevent the creation of a plug connection, and a connection-readiness position, in which its at least one connector formation (36) is accessible so as to allow the creation of a plug connection, the connector component (32) being preferably biased in the stowage position.
