Abstract:
Provided is a coupling device that couples a first plate material made of a first metal with a second plate material made of a second metal by means of a coupling member, the coupling device being provided with: a first electrode and a second electrode; a power supply unit that is connected to both the first and second electrodes; a drive unit that moves the first and second electrodes relative to the coupling member and the first and second plate materials; and a control unit that controls the operation of the power supply unit and the drive unit so as to cause electricity to be applied to the coupling member and the first and second plate materials while the coupling member and the first and second plate materials are being pressed by the first and second electrodes.
