Abstract:
The invention relates to an airbag cover (10), especially for use in motor vehicles, comprising a decorative layer (11) made of leather. The leather is skived down to a constant thickness d of less than 0.6 mm on the rear side (12), and a soft compensation layer (13) is glued to the rear side (12) of the leather. Said compensation layer (13) has no or only minimal influence on the tear resistance of the leather and is not weakened.
