Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a cover for an airbag device, the cover being configured so that the cover is less likely to be separated from the vehicle during the expansion of the airbag, can be formed using a material selected from a variery of materials, and can be easily mounted to the vehicle. The present cover is provided with a cover section which covers a folded airbag, a hollow insertion section which is inserted into a mounting hole on the vehicle side, an engagement section which is inserted into the mounting hole together with the insertion section and engaged with the vehicle side, and a connection section which, within the insertion section, connects inner surface portions of the insertion section to each other to reinforce the insertion section. The cover section, the insertion section, the engagement section, and the connection section are formed integrally. When the engagement section has been engaged, the connection section is at least located further forward in the insertion direction than the position of the mounting hole.
