Abstract:
This cover (10) for an endoscope distal end part protects a distal end part (20t) of an endoscope (20) having an observation window at the distal end part, said cover having a synthetic polymer film (13) at a position which is located on the observation window (32) when the cover is attached to the distal end part of the endoscope. The synthetic polymer film has a surface with multiple projections. The multiple projections have a two-dimensional size within the range of 20–500 nm (exclusive) when viewed in the normal direction of the synthetic polymer film, and have a static contact angle of water on the surface of 150° or more and a static contact angle of hexadecane on the surface of 60° or more.
