Provided is a cover material fastening clip that is for connecting a cover material and a cushion material, and that has: an engagement part for engaging with an engaging end member disposed at an edge of the cover material; and a hook to be caught on a wire that is installed in the cushion material so as to serve as a member to be engaged with the hook. The hook is disposed at the lower side of the engagement part, and is provided with: an extension part that extends downward from the engagement part; and a leading end part that extends laterally from the leading end of the extension part. The engagement part is provided with a guide piece. The guide piece is configured to extend downward from the engagement part, and is provided with a bent section along the way so as to be bent and extend toward the leading end part of the hook. An insertion hole having a prescribed gap through which the wire is inserted is provided between the bent section and the leading end part. The portion of the guide piece between the bent section and the leading end is an elastic piece that is elastically deformed to become separated from the leading end part so as to widen the insertion hole. The engagement part located within a range in which the elastic piece moves as a result of being elastically deformed is provided with an escape space where the leading end of the elastic piece is positioned.
