Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a cover material 1 having a top plate 3 and a lateral wall 4 dropping from the peripheral edge of the top plate 3 using a pulp mold molding mold including a papermaking mold 6 and a drying mold 7. The top plate 3 of the cover material 1 has an abutment part 33 that abuts with an edge 511 of an opening part 51 of a container 5, and a downward lateral wall of the abutment part 33 has an undercut part 41 fitted with a lower part of the edge 511. The papermaking mold 6 has a suction hole 61 at a corresponding spot inside the lateral wall 4 that is a position at which the undercut part 41 is formed. The lateral wall 4 is sucked by the suction hole 61 at any of a timing of non-heating drying, a timing during heating drying, and a timing immediately before mold releasing in molding, and the undercut part 41 having a protruding shape is formed inside the lateral wall 4.
