Abstract:
The invention relates to the storage container field, and more specifically to covers for metal beverage cans having a cylindrical part and an upper conical part, which comprises a top with a crimped edge, the cover including an upper part which is adapted for closing the top of the metal can, and a fastening skirt which can latch on the crimped edge mentioned, and can be used in the production of metal beverage cans. According to the invention, the cover additionally includes a protective skirt consisting of an internal wall and an external wall of the protective skirt, said walls being connected in a part facing towards the base of the metal can, with an elastic flange being formed. The internal wall of the protective skirt can be supported by the end thereof in the crimped edge of the metal beverage can. The diameter of the protective skirt facing towards the base of the metal can is equal to the outside diameter of the cylindrical part of the can. The technical result which can be achieved consists in ensuring the hermetic tightness of closing the upper conical part of the metal can and in increasing hygiene.
