Abstract:
Provided is a cover for a radar of an automobile adaptive cruise control (ACC) system, comprising a cover body (1). The cover body (1) is arc-shaped; a front end face (11) of the cover body (1) is a convex curved surface, the range R of the radius of curvature of the curved surface being less than 21 mm; the cover body (1) is fixed to an automobile front grate (3) after installation; and an ACC radar (4) is installed behind the cover body (1). The attenuation of radar waves sent by the ACC radar (4) when the radar waves pass through the cover body is effectively avoided through designing and limiting the range R of the radius of curvature of the front end face (11) of the cover body (1) to be less than 21 mm, and the penetrability of the radar waves is greatly improved. Tests show that the attenuation of the radar waves can be controlled at 1.3 - 1.75 dB by the cover, which fully meets the requirement for attenuation being less than 2.0 dB in the automobile industry. The cover for the radar of the automobile adaptive cruise control system can be applied to automobiles of different brands and different models of automobiles having the same brand.
