Covered Pocket Arrangement Description

Technical Field

The invention relates to vehicle seats. The invention relates particularly to covered pocket arrangement for vehicle seat side covers positioned in side of vehicle seats.

State of Art

Vehicle seats are designed such that it will give comfort while sitting thereon during a journey. Crucial R&D studies are performed for comfort of the seats, and some additional features are incorporated for making passengers comfortable along with being economically compatible with human body of the seats.

These extra features aim the comfort of users on the seats and enable passengers to have a journey without getting tired in long-lasting journeys.

Passengers carry many items such as keys, mobile phone, wallet, bus ticket etc. in their pockets during journey. These items cause discomfort in pockets of the passengers after a while. Considering that journeys may last long, it causes disturbance like stinging in early stages while it causes bruising and little injuries on body after a while.

Thus, it is seen that passengers initially evacuates their pockets and take what is in their pockets to their hands or compress them into backrests to feel comfortable during a journey. However, holding items such as wallet etc. in their pockets causes discomfort after a while, and leads to problems such as sweating of hands, problems in lying on places etc. Placing these items into the backrests causes these partitions designed for placement of thin products such as gazette, magazine etc. to stretch and leads to an unpleasant appearance. Moreover, it is frequently observed that passenger neglect to check on these partitions, thereby forgetting their items in these partitions. Absence of covered pocket arrangement for collapsible vehicle side covers positioned in side of the vehicle seats in the prior art causes major problems to arise in this subject. Due to all these reasons, a side cover mechanism is required, however, on examination of products in prior art, it is seen that side cover mechanism has not yet been revealed.

Some similar applications were seen during researches on the literature. One of these is a utility model application with publication number TR 201201429 titled "Passenger seat storing box". The following statements are present in abstract of said application: "This invention is a functional arrangement, in a partition called as backrest casing behind passenger seats used in transport sector, consisting of a storing body being a hollow form constituted by making discharge into the backrest and a holding barrier enabling the holding of the items inside the body by pulling being pulled onto said storing body and in which passengers can store items such as mobile phone, camera, mp3 player, technological products and little personal belongings during a journey."

However, as can be seen from samples above, no covered pocket arrangement for vehicle seat side covers that can enable a comfortable journey for passenger by placing carried items such as mobile phone, wallet, key, etc. therein in the prior art has yet been revealed. Consequently, due to problems mentioned above, it has been rendered necessary to make an improvement relating to the covered pocket arrangement for the vehicle seat side covers applied on the side cover for providing a comfortable journey of the passengers by placing items such as mobile phone, wallet, key, etc. therein.

Object of the invention The present invention relates to the covered pocket arrangement for the vehicle seat side covers satisfying abovementioned requirements, eliminating all disadvantages and providing some additional advantages.

Main object of the invention is to enable the passenger to have a comfortable journey. Another object of the invention is to enable the passengers to get free of weights thereon by putting items such as mobile phone, wallet, key, etc. away.

Another object of the invention is to reveal a safe place to the passengers for items such as mobile phone, wallet, key, etc. Another object of the invention is to contribute to ergonomics of the seat.

Another object of the invention is to reveal a sliding cover mechanism for seat side pockets easily accessible by the users.

Another object of the invention is to improve usability by increasing durableness of seat side pockets. In order for the realization of above mentioned objects, a covered pocket arrangement has been developed comprising a sliding cover enabling sliding collapse on a movement surface positioned on said side cover revealed for the pockets applied to the side covers of the vehicle seats.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, said pockets comprise nets in front in order for the items placed therein not to affect from shocks and fall.

Detailed Description of the Invention

In this detailed description, preferred embodiments of the covered pocket arrangement (1 ) of the invention are explained for better understanding of the subject and not causing any limiting effect.

The invention is particularly applied to the side covers (20) of the vehicle seats. The invention relates to the covered pocket arrangement (1 ) enabling the passengers to have a comfortable journey by placing items such as phone, wallet, keys etc. in their pockets or bags therein. There is the perspective view of closed position of the covered pocket arrangement (1 ) for the vehicle seat side covers (20) of the invention, in Figure-1 , the perspective view of open position of the covered pocket arrangement (1 ) for the vehicle seat side covers (20) of the invention in Figure-2a. In a preferred embodiment of the covered pocket arrangement (1 ) for the vehicle seat side covers (20) of the invention, there is the pocket separator (13) applied onto the vehicle seat side covers (20) and separates the pocket (10) into partitions (14). The front side of the partitions (14) comprises a net (12) in order for the materials placed inside the pocket (10) not to spill on opening of the sliding cover (30). The front side of the covered pocket arrangement (1 ) comprises the sliding cover (30) positioned on the movement surface (21 ) on the side cover (20). The sliding movement of the sliding cover (30) is facilitated thanks to the movement surface (21 ) and it is opened and closed with reciprocating motion thereon.

There is the perspective view of an alternative embodiment of open position of the covered pocket arrangement (1 ) for the vehicle seat side covers (20) of the invention in Figure-2b. In the alternative embodiment of the covered pocket arrangement (1 ) for the vehicle seat side covers (20) of the invention, the buttons (1 1 ) arise in inner side of the covered pocket arrangement (1 ) on opening the sliding cover (30). When the covered pocket arrangement (1 ) is in closed position, it protects the products inside the covered pocket arrangement (1 ) from getting affected by shock that may occur in the vehicle. When the covered pocket arrangement (1 ) is in open position, the products inside the partitions (14) do not fall out of the pocket (10) with shocks or movements thanks to the net (12) applied to the front side of the pocket (10) partition of the covered pocket arrangement (1 ). Moreover, the pocket (10) is separated into two partitions (14) thanks to the pocket separator (13) in the middle thereof. Thus it enables more efficient use of the pocket (10) and also the placement of the product in a certain order.

In the alternative embodiment of the invention, the pocket (10) may be arranged as embedded onto the side cover (20), and preferably be formed as a body also formed on the side cover (20). The opening and closing of the sliding cover (30) of the covered pocket arrangement (1) is performed as follows:

The sliding cover (30) is opened and closed on the movement surface (21 ) applied on the side cover (20) with reciprocating motion. When the sliding cover (30) is opened, it moves into the inner side of the side cover (20) and hides. When the sliding cover (30) is opened, there is the pocket (10) covered with the net (12) in the front side inside or there are buttons (1 1 ) in the alternative embodiment. Thus, the buttons (1 1 ) and the items inside the pockets (10) are hidden thanks to the sliding cover (30). Thus the unfavorable appearance that may be seen around the seat is eliminated.

The covered pocket arrangement (1 ) for the side covers (20) of the vehicle seats of the invention has been revealed to enable the passengers to get free of weights thereon by putting items such as mobile phone, wallet, key, etc. therein for a comfortable journey. The sliding cover (30) is applied to the front side of the covered pocket arrangement (1 ), and disarrangement of these products is prevented. Meanwhile, risks such as stealing and missing are decreased. In the alternative embodiment of the covered pocket arrangement (1 ), the buttons (1 1 ) are arranged at the bottom of the sliding cover (30). When it is desired to use the buttons (1 1 ), the sliding cover (30) is opened by driving on the movement surface (21 ) and access is enabled to the buttons (1 1 ). Similarly, when no procedure is to be done with the buttons (1 1 ), the sliding cover (30) is closed by being moved on the movement surface (21 ). Thus, contact of the buttons (1 1 ) with possible little accidents (in case of spilling of products such as tea, coffee etc.) is prevented, and also lifetime of the buttons (1 1 ) are increased by preventing dusting.
