Title:
COVERING MATERIAL FOR WOOD FUMIGATION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/051244
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A covering material for wood fumigation which retains sufficient strength and barrier properties during fumigation treatment and imposes a reduced load on the environment in that after completion of the treatment, it rapidly degrades in the natural environment. The covering material for wood fumigation (1) comprises a water-soluble resin layer (2), as an interlayer, consisting basically of polyvinyl alcohol, which is a water-soluble resin, and having a thickness of 10 to 100 $g(m)m and, laminated to the layer (2) on each of the upper and lower sides thereof, a water-resistant resin layer (3) consisting basically of an ethylene/carbon monoxide copolymer which has water resistance and is degradable with sunlight and having a thickness of 5 to 30 $g(m)m.
