Abstract:
The present invention suppresses disorder in the flow of air occurring within a fan case. A blower in a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device is provided with a fan and a fan case. An annular channel (S2) and an outlet channel (S3) are demarcated within the fan case. When a tangent line (L) is drawn to a virtual circle (C) that is a line joining points equidistant to a radially inner edge and a radially outer edge of the annular channel (S2), the outlet channel (S3) extends from the annular channel (S2) along the tangent line (L) so that the tangent line (L) passes through the interior of the outlet channel (S3). A certain extent of the outlet channel (S3) appearing in a cross-sectional view in a direction orthogonal to the tangent line (L) forms a tapering channel (S4) in which the cross-sectional area of the channel becomes greater towards the downstream side. The dimension of the tapering channel (S4) in a width direction orthogonal to both a rotational axis (RA) of the fan and the tangent line (L) becomes greater towards the downstream side.
