Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a co-packaged optics (CPO) apparatus, comprising an optical chip, an optical chip waveguide, and a circuit board waveguide. The optical chip waveguide is configured to transmit to the circuit board waveguide an optical signal output by the optical chip. At least part of the optical chip waveguide is disposed on a first surface of the circuit board waveguide; the area of the longitudinal cross-section of the part of the optical chip waveguide located on the first surface of the circuit board waveguide gradually decreases along a direction away from the optical chip, the longitudinal cross-section being perpendicular to the first surface. The present disclosure further provides a switch.
