Abstract:
The present invention relates to a crampon (Eisen) worn on the bottom of footwear for preventing the wearer from slipping on ice or snow, and the crampon includes: a plate of a given size consisting of a flexible and resilient rubber; a front support part and a rear support part extended from both ends of one side of the plate for enabling the wearer to walk resiliently on the front and the rear part of the footwear; a spike integrally embedded in the plate with the top of the spike projecting upward so as to form a press part on the top of the plate; a projection formed on the bottom of the plate at the position corresponding with that of the press part; and a spike projection hole formed at the center around the projection in the bottom of the plate. The spike has a central hollow the inside of which is applied with an adhesive to adhere to the projection of the plate. The outside of the spike is not applied with an adhesive, and is separated from the inside wall of the projection hole, so that if the press part is pressed, the spike projects through the spike projection hole, and again if the press part resiliently returns to the original position, the spike is embedded in the plate. Thus, the crampon is detachably attached to footwear of any size and any shape because of the flexibility and the resiliency, and safely carried because of the spike being embedded in the plate when not used.
