Abstract:
A crank device adapted to efficiently convert driving force (pedaling force) into rotary motion energy, advantageous for safety travel, small-sized and light-weight, simple in construction; a vehicle; and a crank pedal device for vehicles. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A pair of internally rotating gears each rotatably installed on a crank arm, a pair of fixed gears each meshing with the internally rotating gear in such a manner as to rotate (planetary rotation) the internally rotating gear in a planetary gear manner while rotating around its own axis, a pair of guide means disposed on the side of these fixed gears, a pair of input members adapted to reciprocate between an upper dead point and a lower dead point as guided by these guide means so as to input a driving force, and a driving force transmission means interposed between these input members and each internally rotating gear and arranged so that when the internally rotating gear is at or in the vicinity of the upper dead point, the driving force applied to the input member is transmitted in such a manner as to produce a rotary moment in each internally rotating gear, thereby rotating each crank arm.
