Abstract:
This crash box is equipped with: a pedestal portion which is mounted to one of two members arranged in the inside-outside direction of a vehicle; and a bottomed cylindrical portion which has a base end that rises from the pedestal portion and an extension portion that extends from the base end and has a leading end wall forming the bottom, the leading end wall being mounted to the other member of the two. The bottomed cylindrical portion is molded integrally with the pedestal portion in such a manner that the side wall of the extension portion is thinner than the side wall of the base end.
