A crash management system (11) adapted for use in a vehicle and a method for detecting crash box (12) deformation by means of the crash management system (11), wherein the crash management system (11), comprising: a bumper beam (14) and at least two crash boxes (12), each crash box (12) extends from the bumper beam (14) and is provided with deformation indication means (15) adapted for static indication of crash box (12) deformation caused by a vehicle crash.
